{"id":14910,"date":"2022-09-21T20:17:07","date_gmt":"2022-09-21T20:17:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peseklaw.com\/en\/blog\/?p=14910"},"modified":"2023-08-09T22:18:19","modified_gmt":"2023-08-09T22:18:19","slug":"ross-pesek-is-awarded-the-latino-ally-of-the-year-recognition-by-mylpa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/peseklaw.com\/en\/blog\/ross-pesek-is-awarded-the-latino-ally-of-the-year-recognition-by-mylpa\/","title":{"rendered":"Ross Pesek is awarded the Latino Ally of the Year recognition by MYLPA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Congratulations\u00a0to our founding partner, <strong>Ross Pesek<\/strong> for being recognized as the Latino Ally of the<br \/>\nyear by the <strong>Metro Young Latino Professionals Association (MYLPA) on September 10th<\/strong>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The recognition has been awarded for his work representing Latinos in our state through <strong>Pesek<br \/>\nLaw<\/strong>, as well as in the community service that characterizes his work such as the <strong>Free Legal Clinic<\/strong><br \/>\nand the <strong>True Potential Scholarship<\/strong> for immigrants.<\/p>\n<p>The keynote speaker at the MYLPA event was Omar Narvaez, Deputy Mayor of the city of Dallas,<br \/>\nTexas, who shared a message about the leadership of Latinos in local governments around the<br \/>\ncountry. <strong>MYLPA<\/strong> also recognized the 2021 and 2022 winners, as last year&#39;s event was canceled due<br \/>\nto the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MYLPA<\/strong> President Javier Salda\u00f1a and Board Member Erik Servellon also presented other awards to<br \/>\nLatinos that advance MYLPA&#39;s mission: &quot;Amplifying the power of Latinos through civic and<br \/>\nprofessional engagement&quot;:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Young Latinx of the Year- 2021 Liz Codina; 2022 Itzel Lopez<br \/>\n&#8211; Latino Business Leader of the Year- 2021 Maria Bonita; 2022 Isla del Mar<br \/>\n&#8211; Public Servant of the Yar- 2021 Armando de Alba, M.D., M.P.H.; 2022 Liz Codina<br \/>\n&#8211; Latino Educator of the Year- 2021 Mariana Cruz; 2022 Roxana Cortes-Mills<br \/>\n&#8211; Latino Ally of the Year- 2021 Ross Pesek; 2022 LinkedIn<br \/>\n&#8211; Legacy Award- 2021 Gina Ponce; 2022 Jonathan Benjamin-Alvarado, Ph.D.<\/p>\n<p>At Pesek Law, we congratulate all the individuals and businesses recognized at this event.
