Ross Pesek has an associate degree from Central Community College Columbus, a Bachelor of Science degree from Wayne State College and a Juris Doctorate with distinction from the University of Nebraska College of Law.
In 2014, Ross started his own firm with Pesek Law, LLC. As a private attorney, Ross focuses on accident and Injury cases.
As an athlete at Central Community College, Ross earned DII All American honors and has been recently recognized nationally by the National Junior College Association with the Merit Award, given to former two-year college athletes who have distinguished themselves and are recognized nationally for their achievements in a variety of appropriate fields.
Ross was recognized by the Nebraska Bar Association as the Outstanding Young Lawyer of 2013 and by the University of Nebraska Alumni Association with an Early Achiever Award. Most recently, he was been awarded the Seeds of Justice Award from the Nebraska Appleseed organization.
Ross’s volunteer experience includes being an advocate for immigrants and their families and offering free legal services. He has established a free legal clinic at Our Lady of Guadalupe church in South Omaha where he has provided free legal consultation to over 1,500 people. Ross also established the True Potential scholarship program. Since 2014, True Potential awarded over 50 one year scholarships to immigrant students attending community colleges who would otherwise not be eligible for financial aid, based on their immigration status.
Ross also serves on various boards including: Metropolitan Community College Foundation, South Omaha Business Association, the ACLU Nebraska Lawyers panel, UNL’s College of Law 2044 Board (to increase diversity in the legal profession), and Matters on Tomorrow.
