Our team at Pesek Law recently attended the Barrister’s Ball in support of the Nebraska State Bar Association, where attorney Ross Pesek was recognized with the 2023 Visionary Award.

We are thrilled to be a part of such an esteemed community and are proud to work alongside dedicated professionals who share our passion for ensuring access to justice for all.

The Nebraska Lawyers Foundation is doing incredibly important work through programs like the Volunteer Lawyers Project, the Nebraska Lawyers Assistance Program, the LSAT prep Scholarship program, and the Rural Practice Initiative. These initiatives help to provide legal assistance and support to underserved populations, and we are grateful for the foundation’s efforts.

Congratulations to all of last night’s awardees, and in particular to Ross Pesek, who is an inspiration to us all. Ross’s firm, Pesek Law, is committed to making a positive impact in their community through three distinct priorities: Weekly Free Legal Clinics, the True Potential Scholarship & the South Omaha Business Improvement District.

Ross is a practicing jury trial lawyer who has successfully won multiple jury verdicts for undocumented immigrants and Spanish speakers in Nebraska. Ross has been a leader in forming trial and litigation strategies for Spanish-speaking immigrants by disclosing to the jury his client’s immigration status and challenging Nebraska juries to set aside bias and prejudice and deliver on Nebraska’s state motto and promise of Equality Before the Law.

Today, Pesek Law has multiple bilingual attorneys and a completely bilingual team to pursue jury rights for Spanish speakers because jury rights are civil rights.
