
Congratulations to our founding partner, Ross Pesek for being recognized as the Latino Ally of the
year by the Metro Young Latino Professionals Association (MYLPA) on September 10th.
The recognition has been awarded for his work representing Latinos in our state through Pesek
Law, as well as in the community service that characterizes his work such as the Free Legal Clinic
and the True Potential Scholarship for immigrants.
The keynote speaker at the MYLPA event was Omar Narvaez, Deputy Mayor of the city of Dallas,
Texas, who shared a message about the leadership of Latinos in local governments around the
country. MYLPA also recognized the 2021 and 2022 winners, as last year's event was canceled due
to the pandemic.
MYLPA President Javier Saldaña and Board Member Erik Servellon also presented other awards to
Latinos that advance MYLPA's mission: "Amplifying the power of Latinos through civic and
professional engagement":
